Swanley Neighbourhood Plan - Regulation 16 Consultation

Overview

Swanley Town Council has prepared a Neighbourhood Development Plan, which sets out a vision for the future of Swanley and planning policies which, once adopted, will be used to determine planning applications locally.

Swanley Town Council formally submitted the Swanley Neighbourhood Plan proposal to Sevenoaks District Council on Thursday 2nd November 2023.

In accordance with Regulation 15 of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 (as amended), the submission included the following documents:

Plan Proposal

• Swanley Neighbourhood Plan Submission October 2023, including map identifying the area to which the proposed Neighbourhood Plan relates.
• Swanley Village Design Guide Final Report
• Swanley Neighbourhood Pre Regulation Plan Consultation Statement November 2022
• Swanley Neighbourhood Plan Post regulation 14 Consultation Statement October 2023
• Basic Conditions Statement October 2023 FINAL, including Strategic Environmental Assessment Screening Assessment as an appendix.

Publicising the Neighbourhood Plan Proposal (Regulation 16)

In accordance with Regulation 16 of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 (as amended), Sevenoaks District Council publicised the Plan proposal for a period of six weeks, from Thursday 30th November until Thursday 11th January 2024.

What happens next

We will submit the plan proposal to examination. The plan proposal, associated documents and a copy of responses to the consultation will be sent to the appointed independent Examiner at the earliest opportunity.
