Eynsford and Farningham Neighbourhood Area - Regulation 6 Consultation

Overview

Eynsford Parish Council and Farningham Parish Council have jointly applied to Sevenoaks District Council to designate the two parishes as a Neighbourhood Area. If designated, they will be able to prepare a Neighbourhood Plan which will set out a vision for the future of the parishes and planning policies which, once adopted, will be used as part of the determination of local planning applications.

A formal application to designate a Neighbourhood Area was received on Monday 20 January 2025.

Publicising the Neighbourhood Area proposal (Regulation 6)

In accordance with Regulation 6 of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 (as amended), Sevenoaks District Council is now publicising the area application for a period of six weeks, from Friday 14 February to Friday 28 March 2025.

How to comment

Comments can be submitted using the online form at the bottom of this page. The supporting documents are available to download below.

Online responses are preferred, however if you are unable to respond online, you can also submit a comment by:

• Completing the printable version of the survey and posting it to: Strategic Planning Team, Sevenoaks District Council Offices, Argyle Road, Sevenoaks, Kent, TN13 1HG
• Emailing us at planning.policy@sevenoaks.gov.uk

All representations must be submitted no later than 11.59pm on Friday 28 March 2025

Relevant Documents

In accordance with Regulation 5 of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 (as amended), the application by Eynsford and Farningham Parish Councils includes the following:

• A map identifying the area to which the application relates. 
• A statement explaining why this area is considered to be appropriate to be designated as a neighbourhood area.
• A statement that the organisation or body making the area application is a relevant body for the purposes of section 61G of the 1990 Act.
