Edenbridge LCWIP - Prioritising Routes

Closes 28 Oct 2025

Opened 7 Oct 2025

Overview

Welcome to your community mapping tool

Sevenoaks District Council has commissioned Waterman to provide a comprehensive Local Walking and Cycling Infrastructure Plan (LCWIP) for Edenbridge. This covers the Edenbridge built up area and connected countryside.

The plan will identify a number of walking and cycling routes to encourage residents, commuters and visitors to move more sustainably around the area. Increasing safe and attractive opportunities for walking and cycling is a key priority for the Council, as we try to encourage people to leave their cars at home for short journeys. Better walking and cycling opportunities in Edenbridge will help to reduce carbon emissions, improve air quality, promote healthy lifestyles and improve the quality of the environment for residents.

The development of the LCWIP includes a review of existing conditions, consultation with stakeholders and recommendations which will be used for future funding bids.

A draft network of walking and cycling routes has been created following data analysis and stakeholder engagement.

We want to hear your views on the draft network to check which route option is more popular, which routes you would use most frequently and if you think there are any additional routes which should be added to the network.

Why your views matter

All of your comments will help shape the Edenbridge Local Cycling and Walking Infrastructure Plan (LCWIP), which will identify a walking and cycling network for improvement in the short and long term future.
