Overview

Sevenoaks District Council is committed to creating an Age Friendly Community, where people can enjoy a good quality of life, remain independent for longer, and continue to play an active role in their communities as they age.

To help achieve this, the Council is inviting residents to complete the Age Friendly Community Survey. The survey will provide valuable insight into the experiences, needs and priorities of local people, helping to shape future services, policies and community initiatives across the district.

The Age Friendly approach is based on eight key areas that have been identified internationally as essential to supporting healthy and active ageing:

5. Respect and Social Inclusion

6. Civic Participation and Employment

7. Communication and Information

8. Community Support and Health Services

Why your views matter

Whether you are an older resident, a family member, carer, volunteer, business owner or community group member, your views are important. The survey will help the Council better understand what is working well and where improvements are needed.
